Dr Oana Dobre awarded HPRG Bursary to attend international polymers conference
Dr Oana Dobre has been awarded a High Polymer Research Group (HPRG) Bursary to attend the 64th HPRG Meeting, entitled “Polymers for an increasingly challenging world”, taking place from 26–30 April 2026 in Cheshire, UK.
The HPRG Meeting is a prestigious, invitation‑only conference that brings together leading academic researchers and industrial scientists to discuss cutting‑edge developments in polymer science. The 2026 programme will explore how polymers can address major global challenges, with themes including sustainable polymer design, smart and responsive materials, environmental remediation, and applications in medicine, biotechnology, energy, and electronics.
The HPRG Bursary scheme is highly competitive and is designed to support early‑career polymer scientists from academia and industry, enabling them to engage with the international polymer research community. Dr Dobre’s award recognises both the quality of her research and its strong alignment with the conference’s focus on innovative and sustainable polymer technologies.
Attendance at the meeting will provide Dr Dobre with the opportunity to engage with leaders in the field, discuss emerging research directions, and build new collaborations across academia and industry.
We congratulate Dr Dobre on this achievement and look forward to seeing how insights from the conference contribute to ongoing and future research within CeMi.
