CeMi at the Glasgow Science Festival
Over the weekend, the Centre for the Cellular Microenvironment (CeMi) brought science to life for young minds at the Glasgow Science Festival with our interactive activity: “Building Life: From Cells to Medicines.”
Our activities were all about learning through play. Children (and plenty of adults!) got involved in:
- Building their own cells using play-doh
- Feeling different tissue textures
- Testing soft, squishy hydrogels
These fun, tactile experiences helped introduce big ideas—like how cells respond to their environment—in ways that were easy to understand and exciting to explore.
A big thank you to our CeMi volunteers, whose enthusiasm and creativity made the stand so engaging.
