GLORI 2.0: Defining the Next Phase of the Glasgow Orthopaedic Research Initiative
On 24th February 2026, the GLORI 2.0 stakeholder event brought together clinicians, and scientists to help shape the next evolution of the Glasgow Orthopaedic Research Initiative.
Experts outlined key priorities across:
- Infection biology
- Materials science
- Imaging
- Tissue models
- Inflammation
- Rheumatology
The event also highlighted the importance of practical frameworks — ethics, governance, data management — in enabling fair, efficient, and compliant access to clinical specimens.
A rapid sandpit session identified shared challenges and actionable next steps for the network.
GLORI 2.0 is now shaping a formal roadmap ahead of its Autumn 2026 relaunch.
